If you haven’t heard about East Side Studio Tour, you are missing out! It is easily one of my favorite things to do in Austin, among other festivals and activities. The vibes are unmatched, and the artists and people you meet along the way make the experience of walking through art studios memorable. Austin hosts a unique community of people, always open to conversation and making new friends.
Andy and Joe agreed to my idea to shoot them walking the East Side, experiencing the tour and everything it has to offer. It was their anniversary weekend and the session served as a time for them to reconnect and celebrate another year of marriage, doing something they both enjoy, which I loved! Did I mention these two were a pro taking photos around tons of people?
We started at The Color Condition and ended at the Big Medium Gallery, a local non-profit that produces the East Side Studio Tour. The gallery is located inside the Canopy art complex, which houses the largest concentration of local artist studios along with a cute coffee shop, Sa-Ten! I’ve always thought the Canopy art complex would be a unique spot for a wedding!
Capturing the love Andy and Joe share in this vibrant location was a pleasure. The East Side Studio Tour provided the perfect backdrop to highlight their relationship and love of art. Couple’s photos are an important reminder throughout the year of the meaning and connection in a marriage. Joe deployed a few weeks after, which made this session that much more meaningful!
