Mike and Sarah are a match made in heaven! They met in college at a party and quickly hit it off. Sarah noted how easy it was to chat with Mike, and Mike couldn’t get over Sarah’s beauty. Sarah graduated a year before Mike, and the couple never questioned a long-distance relationship. Instead, their only question was how often they could see one another. They both moved to Austin, TX and shortly after adopted Lucielle, their cute dog, which you will see in the photos near the end.

We started their engagement session at the South Congress Hotel over drinks. We then walked around South Congress and stopped at iconic Austin spots for cute engagement photos. Sarah works for New Waterloo, so she had an in when it came to taking epic engagement photos around the hotel, which would otherwise be off-limits. It was a unique experience that I was delighted to photograph! We ended at Red Bud Isle where Lucielle joined us for some lighthearted and laidback engagement photos. 

I love that Mike and Sarah chose to make their engagement photo session an experience rather than just a photoshoot. They incorporated the city, people and animals they loved most into our time together. Now, their engagement photos hold much more than just images, they capture a special memory of their relationship at the time of their engagement. They can reflect on these images throughout their marriage to remember this sweet beginning.
